Instagram Reel script for a handmade product demonstration
Show the product in use before explaining how it is made. Choose a real detail that a buyer would otherwise miss, then show the included contents and the actual product information destination.
Use first · opening seconds
SHOT: [Product] performing its actual use. VOICEOVER: Here's [product] doing [specific use]. ON-SCREEN TEXT: [Product name].
The opening should show a use, not only a logo or sealed package.
Material detail · next shot
SHOT: Close view of [material or construction detail]. VOICEOVER: This part is made from [material], with [visible construction detail]. ON-SCREEN TEXT: [Short material detail].
Use a detail that can be shown clearly and described accurately.
What arrives · next shot
SHOT: The item and everything included in the order. VOICEOVER: Your order includes [included contents]. [Optional item] is sold separately. ON-SCREEN TEXT: Included: [brief list].
Accessories used for staging must not look like included products if they are not.
Product information · closing shot
SHOT: The product beside its size reference or readable product label. VOICEOVER: Find sizes, options and ordering details at [product destination]. ON-SCREEN TEXT: [Actual product destination].
Keep prices, variations and current availability at a maintained destination.
Choose the demonstration detail
| Product question | Useful material | Filming decision |
|---|---|---|
| How is it used? | An ordinary use sequence | Choose an angle that shows the action clearly |
| How large is it? | A meaningful scale reference | Do not let a wide-angle close-up distort the impression |
| What is it made from? | Visible texture or construction | Use a clear close-up rather than an unsupported quality claim |
| What is included? | The actual delivered set | Separate props and add-ons from the purchased item |
Let the demonstration answer one question
If the item has several uses, choose one for this video and make another resource only when it answers a different buyer question. A short use sequence should not carry every fact from the product listing.
The timings are filming guidance, not a platform performance formula. Preview the chosen crop and keep captions readable. The same facts should agree across the video, post caption and product destination.
Final review
- The demonstrated item is the one available at the linked destination.
- Materials, dimensions and included contents are accurate.
- The framing shows the important use rather than only the packaging.
- Any spoken facts have readable captions.
