TikTok shows how many views a video has, not who watched it. Two optional features reveal names in limited cases. Profile view history shows who visited your profile in the past 30 days, and post view history shows which followers you follow back watched your posts in the past 7 days. Both work only between accounts that have the feature switched on.

TikTok has changed these features several times, and availability can depend on your age, region and follower count. If a setting described here is missing, your account is not eligible for it at the moment.
Profile view history
When it is on, you can see which accounts visited your profile in the last 30 days, and they can see that you visited theirs. It is reciprocal by design: you only appear in someone's list if you both have it on.
To change it, open your profile, tap the eye or footprint icon at the top if shown, then the settings icon. You can also find it under Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Profile views.
Post view history
When it is on, you can see which of your followers that you follow back watched your posts, for seven days after posting. Again, both sides must have it on. Find it under Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Post views.
If you want to browse without being seen
Turn both features off. With them off, you do not appear in other people's view history, and you cannot see who viewed yours.
Apps that claim to show viewers
No outside app can list who watched your videos. TikTok does not provide that data. Apps that claim to are guessing or collecting logins. Do not enter your TikTok password anywhere except TikTok.
What the view count means
A view is counted when a video starts playing, including autoplay in the feed, and replays count again. That makes views a broad measure of exposure. For how interested viewers were, look at average watch time and the share who watched to the end, both in the video's analytics.
Frequently asked questions
Does TikTok notify someone when you view their profile?
Not with a push notification. If you both have profile view history on, your visit appears in their list for 30 days.
Does watching my own video count as a view?
TikTok does not count repeated views from the creator's own account toward the public total.
