LinkedIn video script for a consultant case explanation
Walk through the problem, evidence, decision and limits of one example. Use a shareable real case only with appropriate permission, or clearly identify a fictional worked example. Do not turn an illustrative calculation into a client result.
0–7 seconds · Identify the example
Spoken: This [fictional worked example / approved case] looks at [specific decision] for [relevant business situation]. Shot: Put the example type on screen. Use a clean diagram or anonymous sample table rather than a private client dashboard.
7–16 seconds · Problem
Spoken: The question was [decision], with [constraint]. We needed to understand [missing fact] before choosing a direction. Shot: Show the question and constraint together. Avoid a vague claim that the business needed growth.
16–27 seconds · Evidence
Spoken: We used [evidence] to compare [alternatives]. Here is what the information did and did not show. Shot: Highlight the actual inputs in the sample. Label assumed inputs and keep uncertainty beside the finding.
27–39 seconds · Decision
Spoken: Given those conditions, [choice] addressed [specific issue]. The trade-off was [real limitation]. Shot: Show a two-option comparison with the deciding criterion. Use an actual explanation instead of a before-and-after success claim.
39–50 seconds · Reader's next step
Spoken: If you face a similar decision, start by checking [useful first question]. The full worksheet is at [resource destination]. Shot: End with the practical question and working resource route. Do not imply the example predicts another business's result.
Prepare the shoot
- Decide whether the example is real, fictional or a demonstration of a method.
- Check permission and remove facts that could identify a private client.
- Write the actual evidence, assumptions and decision criterion.
- Make the resource destination available before including it in the closing line.
Adapt the script to the real situation
If a result is part of an approved real case, state the measurement window, what was measured and what other factors changed. A result following a decision does not by itself prove that the decision caused it.
For a fictional example, use the same label in the post caption and video. Keep the practical first check useful even for viewers who never make a consulting enquiry.
