Instagram Story ideas for hair salons
Use Stories to clarify a real appointment decision: the consultation, location, service options or booking route. Build a short sequence around one question and keep practical information readable without relying on sound.
Choose a concept by the customer's question
| Concept | Question | Make the content | Useful reader action |
|---|---|---|---|
| First visit | What happens when I arrive? | Show reception, the consultation area and the actual next step in three frames. Put the relevant entrance detail on the arrival frame. | Feel prepared for the visit |
| Service names explained | Which service should I ask about? | Compare two real menu entries using what is included and when a consultation is needed. Do not diagnose an individual viewer's hair from a poll. | Choose the right question for the salon |
| Booking demonstration | Where can I see appointments? | Show the current booking route with a fictional appointment and the actual confirmation step. | Use the working booking system |
| One tool in context | What is this tool used for? | Have a team member explain a tool used in the featured service, then show its role in an arranged demonstration. | Understand that part of the appointment |
| Meet the team | Who provides this service? | Introduce a willing team member, their actual role and the service enquiry route. Use factual experience or qualifications only when verified. | Find the appropriate team member |
| Reference-image conversation | Can I bring a reference photo? | Show how the salon discusses a reference, the client's starting point and realistic options. Use an image you are permitted to share. | Prepare for a useful consultation |
| Appointment changes | How do I change my booking? | Show the maintained change or contact route and its actual conditions. Avoid displaying customer names in the booking view. | Contact the correct route |
| Care instructions destination | Where can I find my aftercare instructions? | Show the instructions for the actual service or where the customer receives them. Let staff check the wording before publication. | Find service-specific care information |
Prepare the material
- Choose one appointment question per sequence.
- Check the service menu and booking process against the current arrangement.
- Arrange people and permissions before filming a demonstration.
- Keep client identities and appointment lists out of the footage.
Build a useful sequence
A booking sequence can use three frames: choose the actual service, open the calendar, then confirm what the customer receives. If a consultation is needed before booking, put that condition before the booking action rather than hiding it at the end.
