Pottery workshop announcement checklist
Explain what participants will do, what the session includes and what happens to their piece after class. Making, firing and collecting may occur at different times. A finished ceramic photograph should not imply that every participant leaves with a fired piece that day.
Your working document
Review the actual material
- The named activity matches the actual session.
- Level and participant requirements are confirmed.
- Included materials are distinguished from separately charged items.
- Finished examples are labelled accurately.
- Firing and collection arrangements are clear.
- The booking route shows the actual date and session.
Handle the specific situation
| Situation | Useful information | What to distinguish |
|---|---|---|
| Hand-building session | What the participant will make and the actual technique | Do not illustrate only wheel throwing |
| Wheel class | Actual level, equipment and session structure | Keep the pictured activity consistent with the booking |
| Work awaiting firing | Post-class processing and collection arrangement | Do not describe it as ready to take home |
| A finished example | Its role as an illustration, not a guaranteed identical result | Show the actual participant process where useful |
Complete the handoff
Take the journey from the announcement to its booking page and look for the same session, date and inclusions. A participant should not have to infer the later collection process from a photograph of finished mugs or bowls.
