How it is calculated

Growth rate: (followers now − followers at the start) ÷ followers at the start × 100

Average per day: (followers now − followers at the start) ÷ days between

Days to goal: (goal − followers now) ÷ average per day, rounded up

Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the calculation runs in your browser.

Reading the result

The growth rate is relative to where you started, so small accounts show large percentages from small gains. An account that goes from 200 to 300 grew by 50%; one that goes from 20000 to 21000 grew by 5% and gained ten times as many people. Compare the average per day when you compare accounts of different sizes.

The estimate assumes a steady pace

Days to goal divides the remaining gap by your recent daily average. Real growth is uneven: one video that travels can add a month of followers in a day, and a quiet fortnight adds almost none. Recalculate with a fresh period every few weeks rather than trusting one long projection.

What moves the number

Posting frequency, how many non-followers a post reaches, and whether your profile gives a visitor a reason to follow. See what to do in the first 30 days of a new account and why accounts lose followers.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good follower growth rate?

There is no single benchmark, because the rate depends on where you start. Small accounts can grow by tens of percent a month; large accounts usually grow by a few percent or less. Track your own rate over several periods.

Why is my growth rate negative?

You have fewer followers now than at the start of the period. Platforms remove inactive and fake accounts in batches, and people unfollow when posting stops or the topic changes.
